Karissa has been an alumni club president for 3 different clubs in 3 different states. She has experience working with alumni both in Indiana and those who live far away from campus.
Since joining the Board she has served on the Executive Committee for 3 years. She has served on the Purdue Alumni Advisory Committee for 1 year and has served as the Vice Chair of the Leadership Development and Nominating Committee for 2 years.
Prior to serving on the PAA Board, she served as a volunteer member of the Purdue Alumni Advisory Committee. Karissa has also assisted with creating the alumni leaders club survey.
Karissa served as the Chair for a Task Force responsible for reviewing all governing documents and served as the Vice Chair for the PAA Alumni Awards Committee.
Karissa hopes to continue to use her personal experience with alumni clubs and alumni events both near and far to provide valuable feedback and insight.
The Purdue family loyalty made an impact to Karissa and she continues to believe it is our stories and relationships that make the PAA special. She hopes to make sure this impact is felt for all PAA members.
Karissa hopes to use her second term to focus effort into PAA membership growth by listening and understanding why members joined initially and what current alumni believe is most important to them today.
With a professional career in the legal field and experience leading teams/departments through times of change, she hopes to use her professional skills to move with PAA into its next chapter.
